Karacaoğlan is a 17th-century Ottoman Turkish folk poet and ashik. He was born around 1606 and died around 1680. He lived around the city of Mut near Mersin. The grave of Karacaoğlan was located in the Karacaoğlan village of Mut district. A memorial was built on the grave in 1997.

The Milion (Turkish: Milyon Taşı) was a mile-marker monument erected in the early 4th century AD in Constantinople. This monument stone is located in Istanbul Province. It was the starting-place for measurement of distances for all the roads leading to the cities of the Byzantine Empire.

Soğanlıdere Şehitliği
The Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial (Turkish: Çanakkale Şehitleri Anıtı), located in Çanakkale Province, is a war memorial commemorating the service of about 253,000 Turkish soldiers who participated at the Battle of Gallipoli, during the First World War. It is located within the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park on Hisarlık Hill in Morto Bay. The main structure was completed on 15 March 1958 and the memorial was officially opened on 21 August 1960. The monument is 41,70 m high.
