Bastion Mecidiye (Turkish: Mecidiye Tabyası) is located in the Yakutiye district of Erzurum Province. These forts were used during the Russo-Turkish War (1877–78).

Bastion Aziziye (Turkish: Aziziye Tabyası) is the bastion that the Ottoman - Russian collusions (93 War) occupied stongly. The fortress are located in the Palandöken district of Erzurum Province.

Sinop Fortress Prison (Turkish: Sinop Kale Cezaevi) was a state prison situated in the inside of the Sinop Fortress. It was one of the oldest prisons of Turkey. The prison was known as "The Alcatraz of Anatolia" once. The fortress was used as prison in 1568. The prison was officially opened in 1887 and closed in 1997. The prison was turned into a museum in 1999.

Rumkale was a fortress on the river Euphrates, loceted in the Nizip district of Gaziantep Province. The fortress was firstly built in 855 BC, probably.

The Fortress of Van (Turkish: Van Kalesi) is a massive stone fortification built by the ancient kingdom of Urartu during the 9th to 7th centuries BC. The fortress is the largest example of its kind. It overlooks the ruins of Tushpa the ancient Urartian capital during the 9th century.
