Karacaoğlan is a
17th-century Ottoman Turkish folk
poet and
ashik. He was born around
1606 and died around
1680. He lived around the city of
Mut near
Mersin. The grave of
Karacaoğlan was located in the
Karacaoğlan village of
Mut district. A
memorial was built on the grave in
1997.
