Turbe of Uwais al-Qarani

The Turbe of Uwais al-Qarani (Turkish: Veysel Karani Türbesi) is located in the Baykan district of Siirt Province. Uwais al-Qarani was an Arab, Muslim, mystic, martyr, and philosopher from Yemen. He was born in 594 AD (or 550 - 560) and died in 657 AD. The turbe was built in Seljuks period and restored in 1967.
