Castabala

Castabala, also known as Hierapolis (Turkish: Kastabala, also Hierapolis) was a city in Cilicia, near the Ceyhan River. The city is located in Osmaniye Province. The castle in the city was built in 13th century. Castabalaca name is first referred with the name of Hierapolis on the coins which were minted by Selecuid king Antiochus Epiphanes IV (175 - 164 BC).
